While returning to the station, the crew of the Defiant come upon the aftermath of a Jem'Hadar attack on Deep Space Nine. Destroying one of the upper pylons and leaving many dead and wounded in their wake, the Jem'Hadar have mysteriously taken several electronic items. Captain Sisko and his crew head into the Gamma Quadrant with the Defiant in order to trace the attackers by their ion trail.
While on an away mission, Janeway and Chakotay are bitten and become infected with a disease that the doctor can't cure. Something about the planet prevents the infection from killing the two, but they are force to remain there if they are to survive. Voyager is forced to continue their trip home without the them.
The female warrior Callisto, tries to turn the world against Xena by committing acts of terrorism in her name, while Xena struggles to reclaim her true identity and discover why this angry young woman is doing this.
While Stephanie is training Cody in underwater search-and-rescue techniques, Cody finds a Spanish medallion. He has the medallion appraised and the shop owner offers Cody $3500 for it. But he doesn't accept it and is convinced that he will find more gold at the bottom of the ocean. He is convinced that a Spanish galleon is buried somewhere at the bottom of the ocean. He asks Stephanie for permission to go out searching. But Stephanie is concerned that his training will suffer if he does so. Anyway, she agrees to join him and search for the possible gold treasure.
Murphy celebrates her 8th year of sobriety, but she has a few steps to go. Making amends is her next step, an awfully big one but she tries really hard; everyone else is concerned about rumors of FYI moving its time slot. Murphy decides to confront Stan about the rumor. She finds out more than she wants to (and even more from Phil) then have to keep it a secret, especially from Corky and Frank. Murphy decides to quit FYI, Frank and Corky join her.
