After a young purse snatcher named Willie sees an armed robbery, Fraser is determined to prove the boy wasn't involved. Ray reluctantly agrees to help Fraser prove the boy's innocence as well as find the true criminals, even though he's risking his own job to do so.

The one that kicked off a classic. Monica's old friend Rachel decides to move in with her after leaving her fiance. Meanwhile, Ross takes an apartment in Monica's building to be closer to his friends, Chandler and Joey.

Jerry begins to date Miss Rhode Island, and when they need a chaperone to accompany them to the pageant, Kramer volunteers. At the pageant, Kramer tries to help her prepare and becomes her coach in the process. Meanwhile, Elaine tries to get a job at Doubleday, but ends up working for Mr. Pitt instead, and George decides the Yankees should use polyester uniforms instead of cotton.

Series Premiere: Carter's first full day finds him saving a patient from cardiac arrest. He later treats a flirtatious patient's rash and winds up going home with her. Meanwhile, the ER is inundated with a tour group and a wedding party suffering from food poisoning from the same Haufbrau. When Mark helps Jenn celebrate passing the bar, they get caught in a compromising situation in the ER bathroom. Doug visits a recovering Carol.
