At Vivian's Lamaze class, Will cozies up to a pregnant sportswriter, who takes him to a game -- and delivers more than just fun.

While following Count Vertigo's trail, Batman encounters Talia, daughter of the head of the Society of Shadows, who was sent by her father to prevent the capture of a sonic drill that the Count stole. But after his identity is mistakenly revealed to Talia, Batman remains off-balance as to where her true loyalties lie.

Governor Neil Dickson is going to hold a speech on the pier. Sam Dietz handles the security and he doesn't want to have anyone close to the pier. Meanwhile, three bad guys are planning to blow the pier into little pieces and they plan to do it with a boat. They are going to do it by placing a transmitter on the pier and then drive a boat towards the pier. One of the bad guys will steer it there.
