Stardate: 46071.6 The Enterprise comes to the rescue of another Federation ship, which carries a unique Lumerian ambassador and his elder female assistant, who are traveling to mediate a dispute in the Rekag-Seronia system. The Lumerian's assistant takes an immediate dislike to Troi, but then soon dies. Strangely, Troi soon becomes attached to the Lumerian, and also shows signs of beginning to rapidly age.
Detective Bullock is arrested for kidnapping. Batman, who dislikes Bullock but nevertheless believes him to be a good man, investigates, and discovers the identity of the real criminal: Killer Croc, who harbours a vendetta against Bullock for capturing him once. Can he clear Bullock's name before it is too late?
The episode starts with Mitch driving a lifeguard truck on the beach. Suddenly he sees something in the water and calls it in requesting all available units. But the victim turns out to be a paper bag. So about 20 lifeguards was sent to rescue a paper bag. Later when Mitch enters the shower, everybody is wearing a paper bag.
The network moves Kinsella into a nothing position, Murphy finds herself unusually pleasant to the new "black" vice president of news at the network, Mitchell Baldwin.
