Following her mother's funeral, Annie's sunny demeanor turns to sadness, particularly after her father abruptly leaves to go back home in Arizona. Eric tries to counsel a young couple whose marital problems escalate during the post-funeral reception at the Camden home. Matt helps with the delivery of Renee's baby and after Mary breaks up with Jeff she discovers she was better off with Jeff.
Stardate 50049.3: While on a mining survey on a planet in the Gamma Quadrant, Sisko and his team witness a Jem'Hadar vessel crash near their location. Examining the wreckage, they find over thirty Jem'Hadar dead. It isn't long before another Jem'Hadar warship arrives and destroys the orbiting Runabout and it's crew. Fortunately for Sisko's team, they were able to radio to Deep Space Nine and call for the Defiant.

Finally she hates her; however, Murphy discovers that Avery still wants to go to the party. Murphy sneaks him in, but Dottie still demands an apology.
Briscoe and Curtis have to break the mutual alibi of two girlfriends as they try to find the killer of a young black man, whose angry parents pressure McCoy to indict a young woman who claims the victim had raped her.
