When Joey walks in on Chandler and Monica making out in the middle of the night, Chandler comes up with the idea to get away for a romantic weekend without any disturbance. Meanwhile, Ross tells Rachel that Emily wants him to stop seeing her, which she doesn't take very well. Eventually Joey figures out about Chandler and Monica's secret relationship, which they ask him to keep to himself.
Martin fixes Frasier up with Duke's gorgeous daughter, Marie. Frasier soon begins to fear that the only reason Marie is dating him is to obtain free psychiatric advice.
Halloween night finds the ER awash with allergic or otherwise incapacitated children. Kerry tolerates a visiting candidate for chief while she waits for the official vote. Romano operates on an 11-year-old girl and finds she's genetically male. Carter breaks up a dorm party, but Lucy and a few stragglers remain - with unfortunate results. Mark learns that Jenn's moving to St. Louis and taking Rachel with her. Mark and Carol treat a pregnant schizophrenic.
The group ends up in the middle of a carnival. Ash and Brock decide to enjoy themselves while Misty and Pikachu find this man who is trying to be a magician. Misty agrees to help him, but his show is still a failure. He soon gets desperate and uses his Exeggcute to hypnotize Ash into using his Pok?mon to catch Exeggutor. The others catch up to him only to find the Exeggutor hypnotizing each other and marching blindly into the city demolishing things. The carnival manager plants a time bomb to blow them up, but Ash sends Charmander to stop the Exeggutor. The magician helps with his fire spell and they fend them off together. At the end, Charmander evolves into Charmeleon.
